description
HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE BED, USED AS UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
The invention relates to upholstered furniture with a height-adjustable bed, in particular hospital or care bed, having a base frame and a bed frame designed to accommodate a slatted frame, the bed frame being adjustable in height via a lifting device relative to the base frame and the bed frame from a basic position into a compared to the basic position, increased usage position can be extended.
STATE OF THE ART
Sick and nursing beds must in particular be adjustable in height in order to enable ergonomic treatment of the patient for the nursing staff.
Such hospital or care beds usually suffer from an unsightly appearance characterized by functional aspects, which is particularly noticeable in the case of care beds for home use and are usually undesirable.
In addition, the mechanisms of the height-adjustable beds represent a potential for injury, especially for children. This is particularly true during the height adjustment of the bed, since there is an increased risk of injury due to a large number of moving mechanical parts, such as the fittings. In particular, limbs, items of clothing, etc. can become trapped in the moving mechanical parts, which can sometimes lead to serious injuries.
Sick and nursing beds of the type mentioned above are known from the prior art (CN 210078102 U, DE 201 18 952 U1, DE 202 08 252 U1), which are preferably suitable for installation in hospitals and nursing homes. However, because of the disadvantages mentioned above, such beds are only suitable to a limited extent for use at home, for example for caring for relatives.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The present invention has therefore set itself the task of improving a height-adjustable bed of the type mentioned in that the risk of injury when extending and retracting is reduced and that the visual appearance is improved in terms of use for home use.
The invention solves the problem in that the bed frame in the basic position forms at least part of the upholstered furniture, the bed frame in the basic position essentially completely covering the base frame.
If the bed frame forms at least part of an upholstered furniture in the basic position, the bed, in particular as a hospital or nursing bed, can be used in the retracted state as a piece of furniture in the living area and thus does not attract attention. In the context of home care in particular, it is often necessary to set up hospital or nursing beds in one's own living area, which, however, often represents a stigma for those involved. A particular advantage of the bed according to the invention is therefore that, due to its function as upholstered furniture in the basic position, third parties cannot immediately recognize that it is a sick bed or nursing bed and its function in this regard can therefore remain hidden. Another advantage is that, apart from its function as a hospital or care bed, the bed can also be used to save space as upholstered furniture in the living area. The bed can be converted into upholstered furniture by simply adjusting the height (lowering).
The base frame of the bed is essentially completely covered in the basic position, so a viewer cannot perceive the base frame from his usual viewing position.
Furthermore, in an embodiment variant between the base frame and bed frame, at least one panel frame can be provided which is completely covered by the bed frame in the basic position. In a further embodiment variant, several cover frames can also be provided between the base frame and bed frame, with all cover frames being completely covered by the bed frame in the basic position. The base frame, the bed frame and the one or more cover frames form a telescopic extension. On the one hand, the entire mechanism and lifting device for the height adjustment can advantageously be covered, which is beneficial to the appearance of the bed and, on the other hand, the risk of injury can be further reduced. This is in particular because no opening is formed below the bed frame after a height adjustment, through which, for example, children or pets can penetrate into the interior of the bed, where they would be exposed to a potential risk of injury.
In one embodiment, the bed frame can be mounted on a panel frame via at least one linear guide, the linear guide having a driver which, after height adjustment of the bed frame and full extension of the linear guide, can be engaged with a stop so that the bed frame can be adjusted further and cover frame can be extended together.
In a further embodiment variant, the upholstered furniture can have a base support to which the base frame is rigidly connected and to which the lifting device is attached. The base support can be, for example, a steel frame to which the base frame is attached, the steel frame standing on the floor and supporting the bed frame via the lifting device. In this way, the mechanical load on the base and bed frames can be avoided and completely dissipated via the base support.
Furthermore, in one embodiment, a slatted frame with adjustable head and foot sections can be provided in the bed frame. A two-part cushion, consisting of a head cushion and a foot cushion, can be provided on the slatted frame, the foot cushion being fixedly connected to the foot part of the slatted frame and the head cushion being slidably mounted on the head part of the slatted frame. This makes it possible to ensure in a mechanically simple but reliable manner that the head padding moves with respect to the foot pad when the head and foot parts are tilted to compensate for the thickness, but the formation of gaps between the head and foot pads is avoided. Upholstered furniture with a height-adjustable bed that is particularly easy to handle and operate can thus be provided.
In one embodiment, the upholstered furniture can have cross connectors, via which it can be connected to further upholstered furniture parts to form a seating group. Any configuration of upholstered furniture can thus be created to form a seating area, with the height-adjustable bed being integrated into the seating area.
In one embodiment, the upholstered furniture can have a detachable rear wall along a longitudinal side of the bed. The detachable rear wall can serve as a maintenance door and thus enable simple and ergonomic maintenance of the mechanical parts of the bed, for example the lifting device and the linear guides, without laborious dismantling of the upholstered furniture. In the basic position of the bed, the rear wall can protrude beyond the bed frame, and thus form a backrest, for example a backrest or armrest, when used as upholstered furniture. In the position of use, the rear wall can step back behind the bed frame, the bed frame can therefore project beyond the rear wall, and thus enable a lying surface of the bed that is freely accessible from all sides.

WAYS OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of the upholstered furniture 100 according to the invention is shown with the height-adjustable bed 1 according to a first variant. The height-adjustable bed 1 is designed as a hospital or nursing bed 1.
The height-adjustable bed 1 has a base frame 2 and a bed frame 3, as can be seen in detail from the cross-sectional view of FIG. The bed frame 3 is designed to accommodate a slatted frame 14, which is not shown in detail in FIG. 1. In addition, several panel frames 4.1, 4.2 are provided between the base frame 2 and bed frame 3, the base frame 2, bed frame 3 and panel frame 4.1, 4.2 together forming a telescopic extension 5.
The bed frame 3 is adjustable in height with respect to the base frame 2 by means of a lifting device 6, so that the bed frame 3 can be extended from a basic position 7 into a use position 8 which is elevated compared to the basic position 7. In the basic position 7, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the bed frame 3 essentially completely covers the base frame 2 and the cover frames 4.1, 4.2. In this case, the bed frame 3 forms part of the upholstered furniture 100 in the basic position 7, and the entire mechanism of the height-adjustable bed 1 is not visible.
The bed frame 3 is mounted on a panel frame 4.2 via at least one linear guide 9. For this purpose, the linear guide 9 has a driver 10, which is freely movable in the extension direction in the linear guide 9 and, after it has been fully extended, comes into engagement with a stop 11 on the panel frame 4.2. In the case of further height adjustment, the driver 10 thus carries the cover frame 4.2, as a result of which bed frame 3 and cover frame 4.2 are extended together.
In the same way as described above, the outer panel frame 4.2 is also mounted on the inner panel frame 4.1 and the inner panel frame 4.1 is mounted on the base frame 2 via a linear guide 9 in each case. The respective drivers 10 engage in the corresponding stops 11 and the cover frames 4.1, 4.2 are raised one after the other.
The base frame 2 is ultimately not raised, since it is rigidly connected to a base support 12 of the upholstered furniture 100 or the bed 1. The lifting device 6 is preferably on the ground, the base support 12 being fixed immovably on the lifting device 6. The lifting device 6 thus lifts the bed frame 3 relative to the base frame 2 and thus enables the bed 1 to be adjusted in height.
Fig. 3 shows a cross-sectional view of the bed 1 during the height adjustment in three different states 1, II, III. State | corresponds to the basic position 7, the bed frame 3 being completely retracted and the base frame 2 and cover frame 4.1, 4.2 being completely covered. State II represents an intermediate state, wherein the bed frame 3 has only moved up a part and releases a cover frame 4.2. The base frame 2 and the further cover frame 4.1 remain covered by the cover frame 4.2. Finally, state III corresponds to the position of use 8, in which the bed frame 3 has been fully extended upwards, and the base frame 2 and cover frame 4.1, 4.2 are thus visible. Base frame 2, cover frame 4.1, 4.2 and bed frame 3 cover in the position of use 8 the lifting device 6 and the entire mechanism of the height adjustment of the bed 1 in the
Essentially completely. This also ensures in the use position 8 that the risk of injury from the mechanism is avoided and the visual appearance of the bed 1 is not impaired.
FIG. 4 again shows schematic side views of the bed 1 during the height adjustment in the same states |, II, III, as these are shown in FIG. It can be seen in particular how the cover frames 4.1, 4.2 and finally the base frame 2 become visible one after the other during the height adjustment from the base position 7 to the position of use 8.
As shown in FIG. 1, the bed 1 or the upholstered furniture 100 in one embodiment variant has a detachable rear wall 13 which is arranged along a longitudinal side of the bed 1. In the basic position 7, the rear wall 13 projects beyond the bed frame 3 and forms a backrest, in particular a backrest, for the upholstered furniture 100. The detachable rear wall 13 can form an access or maintenance opening for the lifting device 6 or for the mechanical parts of the telescopic extension 5 in the interior of the bed 1.
As also shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the upholstered furniture 100 has transverse connectors 20 in one embodiment variant. The upholstered furniture 100 can be connected to further upholstered furniture parts 200 via the transverse connector 20 to form a seating group.
In Fig. 5, an upholstered furniture 101 is shown according to a further embodiment, reference being made to the above description with regard to further features. In the bed frame 3 of the upholstered furniture 101, a slatted frame 14 with adjustable head and foot parts 15, 16 is provided. A two-part cushion 17, consisting of a head cushion 18 and a foot cushion 19, is provided on the slatted frame 14 in the bed frame 3, the foot cushion 19 being fixedly connected to the foot part 16 of the slatted frame 14 and the head cushion 18 on the head part 15 of the slatted frame 14 is slidably mounted.
In a further embodiment variant not shown in detail in the figures, the head cushion 18 can also be connected to the foot cushion 19 by means of an elastic element in order to avoid the formation of gaps in the cushion 17.
